[Action Script] Can I change the standalone attribute in an xml? June,2012

Hi all!

I have finally completed my first flash app and it works great!

I have one issue outside of the app tho, and that is that the data is being drawn from an xml file which is created with excel.

I've searched high and low and I can't find a way to make excel set the standalone as "no", it keeps changing it back to "yes". This is frustrating as the German characters in the xml won't display, until I open the xml and manually chage the xml to: "standalone="no""

Is there a way I can change this attribute within flash? Or some way to make it so that my end user can just export the xml and then run the app??
